Wishing you a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Thank you readers for an amazing year!
The year in review…

2014 has been an exciting year! Closure’s sequel Forbidden released.

An idea sparked from years of volunteer service in public education where we hosted cyber safety seminars. It is a scary topic but one that is extremely important as we continue to protect our children from the hands of internet predators. The internet is a wonderful tool but one to be used wisely; a tool that has given these predators power to hunt their prey. Closure is based on Agent Jessica Resario’s compulsion to protect teenagers from online predators. Her determination only puts her life into the hands of a serial killer. To escape danger she returns to her family beach home only to deal with ghosts and a secret of the past. A close call with death only makes her realize she’s hidden her feelings for her supervisor, Tom Erickson. Jess races against time to solve her parents’ murders, catch a serial killer and hope to end up in the arms of the man she’s always loved.

Closure & Forbidden have been given rave reviews for their action-packed suspense giving that important lesson of staying safe online. One reader said…”All parents with teenagers should read this…”
2015 will bring the final chapter to the series … Obsessed

Josey's Christmas Cookie Blog Tour - Sharon Kleve

JOSEY’S CHRISTMAS COOKIE BLOG TOUR

BY SHARON KLEVE

FIVE STAR REVIEW

5.0 out of 5 stars A Lovable Story!

By Debby Lee

I loved this heartwarming Christmas story.
Josey was a workaholic who spent all her spare time at the office in order to cope with the tragic loss of her parents and being jilted by her fiance. I really felt for her.
Clint was a handsome veterinarian Josey met at an animal rescue event who helped her buy a large slobbering dog named Cookie. Clint handled the animals with professionalism, sincerity, and great care.
The two Morning Dove's in the story, Harry and Beatrice, were desperate to see Josey and Clint get together in time for Christmas.
If you enjoy sweet plots, whimsical animal themes, and stories that make you go "aaawww" this one's for you.
Highly entertaining, highly recommended!

BLURB:

In the blink of an eye, Josey lost the most important people in her life, her parents.

Can a hound dog named Cookie, a pair of mourning doves, and a passionate vet bring the holiday spirit back to Josey's life in time for Christmas?

EXCERPT:

As I stared at the pathetic dog in his diaper, I realized no one wanted the dog, they were just gawking at him. The sign said his name was Cookie, part Basset Hound and part Redbone Coonhound. I didn’t know anything about either breed. I did know he was very large and he was slobbering everywhere and he should have a diaper around his neck. I turned to continue my search and a felt a tug on my pant leg. I looked down and Cookie had a hold of my jeans. When our eyes met, Cookie's eyes twinkled, just like Clint's.

A glob of drool hit the top of my shoe. He let go of my pant leg and licked the goo off my shoe. I wanted to say, "gross," but instead I said, "thank you." I was hooked. His fur was a reddish brown and soft as silk. Not caring about drool or dog hair, I sat down on the floor next to Cookie, wrapped my arms around his neck, and finally felt at peace.

Another glob of drool hit the floor next to my butt. He looked sad, like that was a deal breaker and I'd leave him behind. I looked Cookie in his sad eyes and laughed. He pulled back his goofy lips and smiled back.

That's when I heard Clint's voice, "Well Josey, it looks like you found your soul mate."

He laughed, but not at my expense.

A Christmas Embrace - Margarita Felices

 http://www.amazon.com/Margarita-Felices/e/B007BHDIVS/

A Christmas Embrace

In this trio of Christmas stories, author Margarita Felices shares the tales of three women who each celebrate Christmas in their own ways.

A Model Christmas. Did Ashley make a terrible mistake leaving the man she loved to pursue her career? She’s home for Christmas and about to find out.

A Christmas Dance. Christmas is the time to be with your loved ones, but not for Jane this year. Christmas will never be the same when you’re left alone. But this year a promise will come true.

The Christmas Gift. Maya didn’t do Christmas, but this year she’s met Nick and it feels like he’s the perfect gift. But Nick holds a very dark secret and after he leaves Maya with a special gift, she’s anxious to repay him for it.

Excerpt from A Christmas Embrace
            A Model Christmas
Ashley paused. Had Luke replaced her already? What a fool she was. As she turned to leave, the door
opened and a woman stared out at Ashley. “Can I help you?” she asked.
Ashley cursed under her breath and turned with a smile, “No that’s all right…” she began, “I’m just going
to—”
“Wait,” the woman said. “Are you Ashley?” The woman knew about her?
“Luke talks about you all the time. Come on in and let me get him.”
“No!” Ashley insisted. “I’m sorry I’ve spoiled your evening. I need to go.” But the woman had already
gone back inside.

My Christmas Chat with Margarita...

What is your favorite thing about Christmas?
Mmmm let me see.   I suppose saying all the time off I get from work isn’t what you’d like to hear?
The food, the drink, being able to sit at home and just vegetate!
But there’s always a different vibe at Christmas, people are friendlier and willing to help you.  They are more giving and generous and it seems that if you make a mistake or bump into someone or generally do something that any other time of the year would annoy and make them yell at you, they seem to just shrug it off and smile or laugh it off at Christmas.   So my favourite thing about Christmas is seeing everyone happy and getting along.

Do you have a special memory of the holidays you hold close to your heart?
My Christmas is made up of going home to my Mum and my sister.  Since my Dad died several years ago, it’s just been the three of us.  My favourite part of the holidays as a child was always finding my Mums hiding places for our gifts… she could never find a place in our home where I couldn’t find them.   Decorating my house when young is always a great memory – we didn’t have much but Mum always did us proud.  We had an old tree that came out year after year – problem was it didn’t have a stand so finding a substitute that wouldn’t make the tree topple over on us was always an adventure !  Any good memories of Christmas will always involve my Mum and sister at Christmas.  (Actually the tree didn’t look as bad as this one in the picture, I wish I had a picture of it, it makes me smile to remember it and the box we kept it in.  We left it in a little room under the stairs and we always hated going in there in case of spiders!).

What inspired you to write your Christmas Story?
I’ve never done it before!   I wanted to see if I could write something seasonal or write something where I wasn’t the one who made up the topic.   I was stumped at first, I mean who can really write about Christmas in the middle of June?   I started my first story and realised it was a bit short, so I left it and started a second.  But in my true nature, I had to make up a Christmas vampire story!   So there I am with three stories and wondering which one I should invest more time in when I thought, why not finish all three and see if a trilogy will work.  Seems the answer was yes, it would.

For fun…If you could kiss anyone under the mistletoe…Who would it be?
Oh if only it wasn’t for fun, I have quite a list... really a HUGE list!   But I suppose first on my list and one who I would definitely have a lot of mistletoe handy for, is Shannon Leto.  He’s the drummer in a band called Thirty Seconds to Mars. And he’s a really nice person too, I spoke to him on Twitter last year and he was so friendly.  If I had a choice – it would be him.

 Margarita Felices
I live in Cardiff with my partner and three little mad dogs and I work for a well-known TV broadcasting company. I love living in Cardiff because, for all its modernisation, there are still remnants of an old Victorian city. I love writing and base my stories in Cardiff because it has such character.  When I can, I go out to the coast and take photographs, mind you, we have a lovely castle in the city centre and a fairytale one just on the outskirts, so when I feel I can’t write anything, I take a ramble to those locations and it clears my head.  I suppose it was inevitable that some day I would write a novel. My teachers at school used to limit me to no more than ten pages.  When I left school, I wrote short stories for magazines and it paid my way through college.  I am Gothic, I love the fashion, the architecture and the music. I began to write a vampire trilogy and started it off in modern day.  The club in my novel Judgement of Souls 3, is real. When I was writing it I got all my club material and clientele from there and I wouldn’t have finished that section without it.  Judgement of Souls 2 took a lot of researching through the history books but I had fun, it goes back in time.  Judgement of Souls 1 is a WiP and goes back to the time of the Crusades, I hope to have that finished next year.   I have one more story to send off to my publisher this year and then another two by the middle of next year.   But my most exciting news is that at the start of this year I was approached by two US Producers who have optioned the Judgement of Souls trilogy…  all that’s needed is the usual funding but I’m hoping to have some news very soon.   2015 is going to be a very exciting year!

Perfect Love Story for the Holidays - Madison's Christmas by Carol Ann Kauffman

Christmas is Madison’s favorite holiday, but this year is different. She has to face it alone, without her father and her best friend/boyfriend Bob, amid the problems of running her own high-stakes business and dealing with family issues.
Can the spirit of Christmas lift a heavy heart?

A perfect love story for the holidays - available on Amazon Madison's Christmas - Carol Ann Kauffman

My Christmas Chat with Carol Ann Kauffman...

1)      What is your favorite thing about Christmas?
I love to decorate for Christmas.  My mother was a minimalist, so I go all out. I usually have at least one Christmas tree up by Thanksgiving evening or the next day.  I like a Christmas tree in the dining room because that’s where the company usually congregates.
2)      Do you have a special memory of the holidays you hold close to your heart?
Yes, I do.  I am the baby of the family and when I was little, my dad wanted to make picking out the family tree a memorable occasion, so he would take us out to a tree farm to pick out our tree.  Sometimes we rode in a horse-drawn sleigh or hay wagon, and once in some jeepy thing that bounced you all over the place.  And we always found the most beautiful, perfectly shaped tree in the whole world.  And then we got it home… It either didn’t fit in the door, was too tall for the ceiling, or was too crooked when he put it in the tree stand.  So he would drag it back outside and do a little chopping.  He would drag it back in, and now it was too short, or one side was bare, or whatever.  By that time, the Christmas mood had evaporated and my mother was shouting obscenities at him, at me, at the universe.  My father would then call his cousin Joe, who would go to a local parking lot tree sale, pick one, any one, and bring it over.  Dad would meet him outside with the tree stand and Joe would make sure it fit and he would bring it in.  Everyone went to his or her designated room until the next day.  When I was in junior high, we decided as a family to just call Joe first and eliminate the memorable sleigh or wagon ride in the country with jingling bridles and the new fallen snow.  When I was in high school, we bought an artificial tree, but I always remembered the special family tree-picking outings in the country.
3)      What inspired you to write your Christmas Story?
Actually, I was approached by a group of indie authors who wanted to get together and make a Christmas anthology.  I agreed and got right to work, and when time came to get the stories together, either illness or accident or family issues got in the way, so no one else did it.  I decided to self-publish it and donate the author profits to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
4)      For fun…If you could kiss anyone under the mistletoe…Who would it be?
The Tenth Doctor, David Tennant, of Doctor Who fame.  Yep, that would do it.
