Aloha! Always on Christmas - Jackie Marilla

A sweet perfect romance for the holidays!

Emma Sanchez doesn't want help from anyone, especially when she thinks the expectation is to trade her affection for a Christmas tree!  Rancher Hank Amaral gave his new neighbor the wrong impression when he tried to kiss her.  Will Emma learn to trust a guy who genuinely wants to help her and her daughter have a special Christmas?

                    Jackie Marilla

Jackie Marilla writes contemporary romance from the Hawaiian Islands and beyond.  She and her husband live on a macadamia nut farm on the island of Hawai'i where they feed a clowder of cats and a flock of hodgepodge chickens.  In a past life, she was an elementary school teacher.

A Christmas Chat with Jackie...

1)      What is your favorite thing about Christmas?
I love to sit near my lighted Christmas tree with a cup of coffee in the quiet of morning.   I’ve been known to leave my tree up until almost Valentine’s Day!

2)      Do you have a special memory of the holidays you hold close to your heart?
My mom used to make several kinds of homemade candy for the holidays.  We kids helped her.  I remember operating the hand mixer while mom poured a hot sugar mixture into egg whites to make divinity.  She made three kinds—white was vanilla with black walnuts, pink was coconut, and green was peppermint.  I loved all three flavors.

3)      What inspired you to write your Christmas Story?
I wanted to write a story that explored the theme of giving and receiving gracefully which lends itself nicely to Christmas.  I knew I wanted a main character who wanted to be independent, but needed to learn how to accept help from others in order to take care of her daughter.  I included a young child in my story and she serves as a catalyst for the theme.  And, because I often write stories based in Hawai’i, I wanted to include some traditions from one of our ethnic groups.  I chose to focus on a Portuguese family who have blended traditions from modern Hawai’i and old Portugal.

4)      For fun…If you could kiss anyone under the mistletoe…Who would it be?
If I’m pretending that I can kiss anyone I want, then I will also pretend I am twenty-something again.  In that scenario, I’d kiss Joe from my first book, Only on Valentine’s Day because he’s just such a gentleman.

Amber Daulton's Mistletoe in the City for Christmas

                                                                   Amazon - http://amzn.to/1pC6Tb9

Amber Daulton - Writing is the fruit to happiness.
Amber Daulton lives her life by that one belief even though she normally isn't so Zen.
Author of four novellas—Forever Winter, A Hero's HeartLightning over Bennett Ranch and Mistletoe in the City—she published her first book in 2012 and hopes to publish countless more in the future.
She lives in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina with her punk-rocker husband and their five crazy kitties. Writing takes up most of her time, aside from her day job in the retail industry. As a fan of contemporary, paranormal and historical novels alike, she can't get enough of feisty heroines and alpha heroes. Her mind is a wonderland of romance and adventure, laughter and awesome ways of kicking a guy when he's down. She probably wouldn't be too sane without her computer and notebooks. After all, what's a girl to do when there are people jabbering away in her head and it's hard to shut them up? Write! Nothing else works

Christmas Chat with Amber...

1)     What is your favorite thing about Christmas?
I love the decorations! Lights, garland, the tree and ornaments, the various Christmasy scents and food—everything!

2)     Do you have a special memory of the holidays you hold close to your heart?
My husband, then-boyfriend, asked me to marry him Christmas morning 2006. The tree was lit, presents scattered beneath and he knelt on one knee with a little box in his hand. It would have made for a great picture since he did it right in front of the tree but we were alone so, oh well. Still, it’s the best Christmas memory I have to date.

3)     What inspired you to write your Christmas Story?
I’m not sure what inspired me to write Mistletoe in the City. The idea just popped into my head one day and I set off to write it.

4)     For fun…If you could kiss anyone under the mistletoe…Who would it be?
Other than my husband, hmmm… that’s a toughy. I’ll go with Derek, the hero from Mistletoe in the City. He’s a sexy 22 year old with a tattoo and eyebrow ring. Yep, he’ll do just nicely. ;)

Fall in Love this Christmas with a Jennifer Conner Holiday Romance

These are just a few holiday romances...there's more from Jennifer to check out on her Amazon page!

Jennifer Conner is a best-selling Northwest author who has forty-five short stories, novellas and full length novels in print. She writes in Christmas Romance, Contemporary Romance, Paranormal Romance, Historical Romance, and Erotica.
She has hit Amazon's top fifty authors ranking and her books have been #1 in sales.
Her novel Shot in the Dark was a finalist in the Emerald City Opener, Cleveland, and Toronto RWA contests.
Jennifer is an Associate Publisher for the indie traditional publisher, Books to Go Now who resides in the Seattle area. They pride themselves in helping new authors get their foot in the door with well-edited manuscripts, professional covers, and platforms uploads.
She lives in a hundred year old house that she grew up in. Her semi-small town holds an interesting mix of resident hillbillies, yuppies and Navy Seals. And of course Seattle, only a few miles away, is the birthplace of Starbucks so coffee is always on the check list. She blows glass beads with a blow torch, (which relieves a lot of stress and people don't bother you).

My Christmas Chat with Jennifer...
1)      What is your favorite thing about Christmas? I love everything about Christmas (a bit of a junkie). I love putting up all my decorations that were handed down from my mom and the tree ornaments my kids made in school. It’s all about the traditions and memories.
2)      Do you have a special memory of the holidays you hold close to your heart? I try and make new special memories every year.
3)      What inspired you to write your Christmas Story? Well… I have MANY Christmas stories. 18 or so (I think). My three for this year are In Love with Santa which I wove all the crazy stories that really happened to me in the 15 years I ran a catering business. Workers who slipped and broke their arms, grooms with guns under their tuxs, and even working for a murderer. He drowned his wife a week after we did the cater at their house! I also have, Ten Minutes for Christmas which is a New Adult and Christmas Romance which has Dog Tags for Christmas part of a Christmas series that revolves around… of course… dogs.
4)      For fun…If you could kiss anyone under the mistletoe…Who would it be? Well politically, I would have to say my husband. Non-politically… there are so many choices. Henry Cavill? Sam Heughan (Jamie from the TV version of Outlander) or maybe Colin O’Donoghue (Capt. Hook from Once Upon a Time) that is if it was a REALLY big sprig of mistletoe! Haha

A Christmas Chat with Elle Rush & her Christmas Romance - Candy Cane Kisses

All bakery-owner Lindsay Leeds wants for Christmas is for her former high-school crush Sheriff Keith “Bodey” Bodewell to quit playing games. The sheriff has been dancing around asking her out for months and Lindsay is tired of it. She’s a busy woman and he needs to step up or he’s going to lose his shot.

How can a successful business woman be so clueless when it comes to managing her heart? Bodey has dropped tons of hints that he’s interested, but Lindsay isn’t catching them. Just when the sheriff is running out of ideas on how he can convince her to be his for Christmas, Lindsay gives him a clue and the answer is pretty simple.

It’s going to take the jolly fat man to make this holiday romance happen.

Here's a sneak peek:
Lindsay didn’t join in the teasing. Instead, she sent him a death glare. “It was you,” she accused.
“Me, what?” He knew damn well what. Margaret called him at the department to give him a heads-up. For such a bright woman, Bodey could not figure out how Lindsay remained oblivious that the entire town was helping him woo her.
“You, you, you... Wine thief!” she shouted.
“I didn’t steal anything,” he protested.
“No, you bought it, snatching it off the shelf from under my nose.”
“You said it was good.”
“It was mine!”
She was a little more attached to her Moscato than he’d anticipated.

A sweet Christmas romance to warm your heart. I had the pleasure of working with Elle Rush on the Forever Christmas series. A story of four friends who pool their resources together to bid on the hundred year old tree farm in their small town of Glenville. In the midst of their new business adventure...love happens. Each story is a stand-alone but available as a complete series.

Had a sweet chat with Elle Rush about Christmas & her book :)
1)      What is your favorite thing about Christmas?
I’m from Winnipeg, Manitoba so snow is a must. I’ve done tropical Christmases – twice – and while they are neat to experience they lack the Christmas spirit I’m used to. I need Christmas lights on houses reflecting off white snow in the front yards, going caroling bundled up in seven layers of sweaters and scarves and ski jackets and ending with hot chocolate to thaw you out.
2)      Do you have a special memory of the holidays you hold close to your heart?
Unfortunately, like most people the fun stories I have about my family over the holidays would have people thinking we were all nuts. But I do treasure the year we had both sides of my family over for dinner. All my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins were herded downstairs to the only place that could seat seventeen people at once – the ping-pong table. It was loud and rowdy and delicious and wonderful.
3)      What inspired you to write your Christmas Story?
My family has always baked at Christmas. My mom taught me and my sister how to do it using her mother’s recipes. By the time we hit high school, we’d had begun recruiting our friends for our Christmas baking sessions. (One of us ended up with headless horsemen gingerbread men, the other with gingerbread men in G-strings. You can try to guess which daughter did which set. My mom wouldn’t let us hang either set from the tree. I wonder why?)  I digress. With all the baking we did, recipes we tried, and disasters we experienced, I wanted to write a story about a baker who loved baking as much as I did who fell in love at the most wonderful time of the year.
4)      For fun…If you could kiss anyone under the mistletoe…Who would it be?
I think I’d have a line of all my eligible Hollywood bachelor boyfriends – I don’t want to be selfish so I’d spread Christmas joy far and wide.
